The nights may be getting cold but not enough to dampen the spirits of these dedicated distillers at the June 2025 meeting of the Brew Barn Brewers club.
In the absence of Paul our dedicated Brew expert and owner of Sleepy Creek Brewery, Neil stepped up to the plate to give a “Show and tell’ of the basics of Distilling. Armed with his still and buckets of enthusiasm everyone was thoroughly engrossed in his knowledge of spirit making.
I’m sure the lads all enjoyed sharing their knowledge.
Robert assisted in bottling up the Morgans Blonde we put down last meeting. Paulie, Andrew and I had a sniff and a taste beforehand and declared it ok to bottle with no indication of any taint in the brew. This Brew never got over 18 degrees in the fermentation process and was sitting at 12 degrees for most of its time on the shelf. So very interested to see how it turns out.
Looking forward to trying it at next month’s meet!
